The Clarison Group, a market-leading designer, manufacturer and installer of architectural glazing and façade systems in the UK & Ireland, is delighted to announce the appointment of John Foster in the newly created role of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) for its UK businesses.
Launched in February 2021, The Clarison Group combines four leading companies in the façade industry, Alucraft Limited and Williaam Cox, both based in Ireland, and Alucraft Systems Limited (“ASL”) and English Architectural Glazing (“EAG”) located in the UK. The combined group has over 400 employees and operates from six locations throughout the UK and Ireland, including Dublin, Tamworth, Cannock, Rotherham, Mildenhall and Attleborough. Additional employed design teams are based in Spain, Poland, and the Philippines.
John will start work as UK CCO on 1 July 2021, reporting to The Clarison Group CEO Mark Oliver. As CCO, John will lead the work winning and pre-construction activities of The Clarison Group’s UK businesses, EAG and ASL. He will work closely with customers across the UK on projects designed, fabricated, and installed by EAG and ASL. John brings a wealth of experience to the role, having been the Commercial Director of ASL since August 2019. He has previously held several executive roles for market-leading construction specialists, including Commercial Director positions at Saint-Gobain and Van Elle.
Mark Oliver, CEO, The Clarison Group CEO, said: “John is well respected throughout the industry and has the experience to build the sales pipelines of both EAG and ASL. His appointment as CCO will help us deliver our goal of making The Clarison Group an industry leader in façades. By leveraging the capabilities and capacity of the whole Group, we can provide customers with lower risk, better quality and more sustainably delivered solutions than our local and continental European competitors.”
John Foster added: “The Clarison Group is rapidly becoming the market-leading façade group in the UK & Ireland. I am thrilled to be part of this important stage in the Group’s development. The UK façade sector has not experienced the same capacity and technical capability in a single domestic entity as The Clarison Group. Our sector is rapidly changing, demanding a higher level of engineering than ever before, and a focus on more sustainable and carbon-efficient practices. We are well placed to help our customers and partners to deliver these.”
About The Clarison Group
The Clarison Group of companies provides innovative façade and envelope solutions to the UK and Irish markets and is a more sustainable alternative to using continental or global sub-contractors.
The Clarison Group was launched in February 2021 as one of the UK and Ireland’s leading suppliers of architectural glazing and facade systems. It comprises four leading companies in the façade industry, Alucraft Limited, Alucraft Systems Limited, Williaam Cox and EAG, and is a new force in the design, manufacture and installation of architectural glazing and façade systems in the UK & Ireland. Alucraft Limited and Williaam Cox are based in Ireland and Alucraft Systems and EAG in the UK.
The combined group has over 400 employees and operates from six locations throughout the UK and Ireland, including Dublin, Tamworth, Cannock, Rotherham, Mildenhall and Attleborough, with additional employed design teams based in Spain, Poland and the Philippines.
In 2020 Alucraft acquired an additional 3,000m2 manufacturing centre of excellence in Rotherham. This brings the total Clarison Group production capacity to over 25,000m2, utilizing the latest off-site manufacturing techniques with advanced CNC manufacturing equipment, Unitised Curtain Walling, Window, Door and Façade assembly lines, architectural sheet metal processing, structural bonding lines and a certified in-house powder coating facility. These facilities give the Group a market leading annual capacity of 430,000 production hours.
As such, the Clarison Group is a new powerhouse in facades:
- Clarison offers a domestic solution to tier-one Contractors that have, in the past, had to call on European companies for larger and more complex projects.
- As domestic providers, Clarison companies provide more sustainable solutions with a lower carbon footprint.
